Q: Do I have to be 21 to get into Comedy TN?
A: Yes, and you can thank the Health Dept and the State.
Arrival Times
Q: How early do I need to arrive before showtime?
A: Be prepared to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to showtime. This gives you time to check-in, receive your seating pass and be seated. Remember, many shows do sell-out and seating in on a first-come first-serve basis.
Reservations
Q: Does a reservation guarantee me a seat?
A: No. All reservations are cancelled 20 minutes prior to showtime. Patrons without reservations will be allowed to join the admission line at that time. Seating is on a first-come first-serve basis.
Q: Does a PAID reservation guarantee me a seat?
A: Yes, if you pay for your reservation in advance you are guaranteed a seat at the show. Be sure to arrive early to get your tickets.
Q: Can I get into a show without a reservation?
A: Sometimes. Many of our shows sell-out in advance and others sell-out the night of the show. If you come without a reservation, you will be allowed to get in line 20 minutes prior to showtime. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis.
Seating
Q: How can I be assured of “good” seats?
A: Because our showroom is so intimate, we consider every seat a good seat. But there are two ways to help you secure “good” seats.
- Have dinner with us before the show -- Those who dine at the Creole Cafe will have “good” seats reserved for them in the showroom.
- Come early -- If you’re interested in sitting close to the stage or want to make sure that you don’t have to sit close to the stage, be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to showtime.
Discount Passes
Q: I have passes (tickets) to come to Comedy TN but the expiration date has passed. Can I still use the tickets?
A: Yes. But they are not good for special events.
Q: My pass says that it is not valid for Saturday shows or Special Events. Why can’t it be used for those shows?
A: Because we make the rules. how bout that?
Comedians
Q: If I don’t recognize a comedian’s name, how do I know if he/she is funny?
A: Mainly because a comedian, John Marks, books the room. Nuff said! But also, Comedy TN is known for featuring only the best stand-up comedians in the country. All of our headlining comedians are professional so you are guaranteed quality entertainment .We also support the Memphis comedy community, so we give some guest set stage time to promising young Memphis comics. Remember, all comedians start out as unknowns.maybe you'll be one of the first to discover a star of tomorrow!
Special Occasions
Q: I’m coming to Comedy TN to celebrate a special occasion. Should I expect anything special?
A: Yes! Birthdays, anniversaries and bachelor/bachelorette parties are often celebrated at Comedy TN. Check out the “Group Parties” tab on our website and see what you can expect when you and your friends have a party at Comedy TN!
Food/Drink Minimum
Q: Why is there a two-item minimum?
A: Without the food and drink sales, we don’t make any money! The two-item minimum allows us to continue to provide you with the best comedy club experience in Memphis. The minimum food and drink minimum is popcorn and a soda, total $5, both with free refills. So how about that?
Q: If I have food or drinks before I enter the showroom, does that count toward the two-item minimum?
A: Creole Cafe purchases apply to the two item minimum.
Dress Code
Q: Does Comedy TN have a dress code?
A: Yes. Shoes and shirts required. Otherwise you use your best judgement.
Accessibility
Q: Is there wheelchair access to the club and in the showroom?
A: Yes. When making your reservation, please let the representative know of any special needs you may have.
Auditions/Open Mic
Q: I’m a comedian and want to perform at Comedy TN. How do I go about it?
A: Please send us your promo package, email us a link to your website, and/or let us know when you are in town and we can possibly schedule a guest set auditon.
Q: Does Comedy, TN host an “Open Mic” Night?
A: Yes! Every Wednesday is Open Mic Night at Comedy TN.
