ComediansMike Diesel When Mike Diesel walks on stage he is like a man possessed by some wacky comedy demon. He grunts, snorts, bellows; his face turns so red it looks ready to explode. The audience loves him, shouts their approval, and Mike is in hog heaven. The comedy bug first bit Mike when he was seven years old. Mike went to a Bill Cosby with his family. "It was one of those oddball things.", Mike explains. "Cosby happened to notice that my shoelaces didn't match. He invited me on stage to talk about it, and then asked if I knew any jokes. I told some lame kid joke and the crowd laughed and applauded! I loved it!" And that was the beginning. From that point on, Mike found himself carefully watching other comedians like Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Lenny Bruce, even Abbot and Costello. Mike graduated high school in 1982. Since then Mike has been honing his comedic skills and developing his own bizarre style. Mike works over 200 nights every year on stages across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. |
