Scotty K

Comedian Scotty K is a New York born and Southern raised preacher's kid. With this unique childhood and background, he has many bizarre life experiences to draw from. By the time Scotty turned 15 yrs. he had already lived in six states and attended eight schools. After graduating from college with a degree in psychology / counseling, Scotty spent 5 years counseling troubled teens.  What he found was that most of the kids he worked with had nothing wrong, at least not when he compared them with his own issues. (ADHD -Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder combined with his crazy family).  Recognizing he had a rather unique outlook on life, Scotty left his counseling position and leaped head first into to standup comedy.  At the time, his family and friends thought he was crazy. (nothing new) But with the great success he has enjoyed headlining clubs on the national comedy circuit, Scotty has proven his intuitions correct.

You truly never know what to expect when this son of a Baptist Preacher hits the stage. No two shows are alike as Scotty skillfully incorporates brilliant characterizations, sidesplitting observations, mixed with improv and music.  Some say he’s twisted, but everyone who’s witnessed his unique act agree that he is simply hysterical.  The moment he steps on stage you can’t help but be caught up in his spontaneous energy and hysterical point of view.

With incredible instincts and an extraordinary imagination, Scotty’s PG-18 act covers everything from his own family and childhood, pop culture, the South, music and religion (to name a few). His unforgettable portrayals of embarrassing everyday situations always render his fans laughing almost uncontrollably.  Rarely does a comedian who combines such a rare talent for creating brilliant satire along with strong improvisation skills come along – “Scotty K” is such a comic.

Scotty K has been seen on seen on BET’s Comic View and Comcast Comedy Spotlight. He has been heard on the nationally syndicated radio shows, Bob and Tom and Rick and Bubba. Scotty has shared the stage with such stars as DL Hughley (Kings of Comedy), Joe Rogan (Fear Factor), Chris Tucker (Rush Hour), Robert Schimmel (HBO), Ricky Smiley (Comic View ), and Steve Landisburg (Barney Miller).  Scotty never fails to please, and with the countless laughs he’s garnered over the years, it’s just a matter of time before he is starring in his own vehicle.  Young or old, black or white, Scotty is a comedian that is not to be missed.
